Our Project Experience
Consulting advice is only as good as the experience behind it. Klean Consulting is the management consulting arm of Klean Industries, and the group's delivered project record is the evidence base our advisory work draws on.
Solid Waste and Waste-to-Energy
The group's solid-waste portfolio includes energy-from-waste and biomethane facilities in Germany, gasification of municipal trash in Japan, municipal solid waste energy in Italy, and renewable steam and electricity projects in Canada. These are operating assets, which matters: they tell us what real availability, real feedstock variability and real maintenance regimes look like, rather than what a vendor datasheet predicts.
Pyrolysis and Material Recovery
Klean Industries maintains an international project portfolio across tire pyrolysis, plastic pyrolysis, recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil.
What This Means for an Advisory Engagement
Three things, practically. First, our capital and operating cost assumptions are anchored to delivered projects rather than to published benchmarks of uncertain provenance. Second, we can tell a client where a technology is genuinely proven at the scale they are contemplating and where it is not. Third, when we recommend against a scheme, we can usually explain exactly which operational failure mode we are worried about.
Advisory Work in Its Own Right
Alongside the group's delivery record, our consulting practice carries out waste audits and recycling analysis, municipal waste strategy and planning, water, sanitation and environmental assignments, contractual reviews, research and strategy studies, and financial management audits. A great deal of that work concludes without any new plant being built at all — which is frequently the correct outcome.
We do not publish client-identifying detail from consulting engagements without permission. Where a reference is appropriate to your evaluation, ask us and we will arrange it directly.
Sectors and Geographies
The group's project record spans Europe, Asia, North America and Australasia, covering municipal authorities, industrial producers and private operators. That geographic spread matters to advisory work because regulatory treatment, labour cost, feedstock composition and offtake markets differ enormously between them, and a cost assumption lifted from one jurisdiction into another is usually wrong by a wide margin.
